Kodansha announced that Alto and Yuunagi’s The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest light novel series will receive a TV anime series in October 2025. A new teaser trailer and key visual were revealed alongside the staff, and the trailer confirms Shūichirō Umeda will voice protagonist Alec Yugret.

Ken Takahashi directs The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest anime at studio Gekkō with Masamune Hirata as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of series scripts, and Yōko Satō designs the characters alongside sub-character designer Nobuhide Hayashi. Satō and Hayashi are also the chief animation directors. Diosta inc. and High Speed Boy inc. are composing the anime’s music.

Alto serialized the story the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from October 2020 to September 2022. Kodansha published the first volume of the print version with illustrations by Yuunagi in August 2021. Moreover, Kodansha published the fifth volume in August 2024.
Yuki Monji launched the manga adaptation in July 2021 in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. Kodansha will publish the manga’s 15th compiled book volume on April 9, and the company’s K MANGA app releases the manga in English.
