Nintendo released a new “Quick Start Guide” video for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition to introduce the game’s mechanics, systems, and features to newcomers and returning players. The Quick Start Guide can be used as a helpful reference in the early hours of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
To celebrate the game’s release, Kotobukiya announced its official Xenoblade Chronicles X Formula Skell Kit is getting a re-release in November 2025. Originally released in 2016, the plastic model Xenoblade Chronicles X Formula Skell Kit is 1/48 scale, stands at 175mm tall, and costs 8,800 yen (tax included) in Japan and $78.99 in the US. Pre-orders are available now until April 22.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition includes numerous updates and new features, including a completely overhauled UI and an on-screen Overdrive guide in combat. Additionally, various new story elements are set to be intertwined into the main story, with Monolith Soft looking to resolve many of the mysteries left for players to ponder on in the original game.
Monolith Soft recently released new artwork to celebrate the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition in Japan. The 2015 game is finally set to break free from the Wii U catalog, following nearly a decade of heavy fan demand. The game’s release also means every title from the Xenoblade Chronicles series will finally be available on Nintendo Switch.
