SEGA of America revealed the cover art and preview pages for the upcoming DC x Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series. As previously announced, the DC x Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series sees the characters of SEGA’s prolific franchise fill the roles of DC’s Justice League.
Shadow fills the role of Batman alongside Knuckles as Superman, Amy Rose as Wonder Woman, Tails as Cyborg, and Sonic as The Flash. However, the first issue sees the Sonic the Hedgehog cast and DC’s Justice League team up to save their worlds from Darkseid and the forces of Apokolips.
DC x Sonic the Hedgehog issue #1 by writer Ian Flynn, artist Adam Bryce Thomas, and colorist Matt Herms will release on March 19, 2025, with a cover by Pablo M. Collar and a variant cover by Ethan Young. The collaboration continues with four subsequent issue releases through 2026.
Moreover, DC x Sonic the Hedgehog’s first apparel will be released exclusively at Target.com. The apparel features Shadow the Hedgehog as Batman on t-shirts and hoodies. The collaboration continues well into 2026 and beyond, and more details will be revealed at a later date.
