Square Enix announced Chrono Trigger will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025 with “various developments that go beyond the world of the game.” The iconic RPG first launched on Super Famicom in Japan on March 11, 1995.
On the game’s official Twitter/X account, Square Enix expressed the company’s gratitude for fans who played Chrono Trigger leading up to the 30th anniversary. More details about the Chrono Trigger 30th anniversary plans will be posted on Square Enix’s official Twitter/X and @ChronoTriggerPR accounts.
Additionally, a Chrono Trigger Music Special live stream will be held on March 13 at 8:00 p.m. PST / 11:00 p.m. EST on YouTube.

A chance encounter amid the festivities of Guardia’s Millennial Fair in Leene Square introduces our young hero, Crono, to a girl by the name of Marle.
