Astro Bot PS5 Console Bundle Releasing On March 13

    The bundle costs $450.

PlayStation has announced that the Astro Bot PlayStation 5 console bundle will release on March 13. Pre-orders will soon be available on PlayStation Direct and other local and online retailers.

The upcoming bundle will cost $450 and include a PlayStation 5 Slim and a digital copy of Astro Bot. This bundle is not limited edition and will not include any custom plates or a unique DualSense controller. However, the Astro Bot limited edition DualSense controller is still available at select local and online retailers. The controller costs $80.

Last month, PlayStation announced that, starting on February 13, they will release new weekly levels for Astro Bot. These levels will be available for free and will continue until March 13. Four out of five of the levels have released so far.

The following levels will release on these dates:

    • Feb 13: Tick-Tock Shock
    • Feb 20: Thrust or Bust
    • Feb 27: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
    • Mar 6: Hard to Bear
    • Mar 13: Armored Hardcore

According to the PlayStation Blog post, “Unlike our last update Winter Wonder, which was a walk through the Xmas park, this new update features harder levels to test your jumping skills. Each level comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue and, once that’s done, can be replayed in Time Attack mode with online rankings. To access these, you will need to have completed the main game. So sharpen those skills again and let’s get rescuing.”

Despite Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki’s recent comments on PlayStation original IPs, it’s clear that Astro Bot is an IP that should be fostered for years to come. The game has already breached 1.5 million copies sold on PlayStation 5 as of November 3.

Lastly, Astro Bot is available now on PlayStation 5. The console bundle will release on March 13.
