Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital announced Gran Turismo 7 update 1.56 will release on February 27 featuring three new cars, a new Extra Menu, new events, and much more.
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.56 introduces the BMW Z4 3.0i ’03, Mercedes-Benz Unimog Type 411 ’62, and Peugeot 205 GTI ’88. Players can test out the 205 GTI and collect other Peugeot models with Extra Menu No. 44 Collection: Peugeot, which is available to players at Collector Level 36 and above. The MAZDA3 Gr.4 also receives a new body color, which can be seen in the Mazda Showroom of Brand Central.




In addition, three new events were added to the lineup in World Circuits: Sunday Cup Classic (Red Bull Ring Short Track), European Sunday Cup 400 (Grand Valley – South Reverse), and European FR Challenge 550 (Autodrome Lago Maggiore – East).
Gran Turismo Sophy, Polyphony Digital’s next-generation racing AI, will be available on Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Sardegna – Road Track – B. The Sophy icon is displayed on the menu for each track. The update is rounded out by the addition of “Panning” as a featured Curation in Scapes.
In other news, Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5 in spring 2025, giving Gran Turismo fans another game to try out. Moreover, it has cross-play with the existing Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, and you can expect it to support the new Gioteck FR5 Racing Wheel.
Gran Turismo 7 will continue to receive major updates on a near-monthly basis on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Polyphony Digital released the game’s free demo, My First GT, on December 6, 2024. Lastly, players may complete the demo to earn bonuses in Gran Turismo 7.
