Capcom announced the second week of Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test 2 has been extended by 24 hours to account for the recent PlayStation Network outage, which prevented gamers from playing online on PlayStation 5.
Originally planned to end on February 16, Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test 2 has been extended to February 17 at 6:59 p.m. PST / February 18 at 2:59 a.m. GMT. The second week of the beta test will begin on February 13 at 7:00 p.m. PST / February 14 at 3:00 a.m. GMT. What’s more, players who participate will still earn the Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant and OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack as a free bonus in the full game.
Previously, Capcom released the “Into the Iceshard Cliffs” trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, highlighting the new locale. The Iceshard Cliffs is a snowy region that’s home to the never-before-seen monster, Hirabami. The Hirabami possess sail-like membranes that allow them to float and strike from the air with their razor-sharp tails. Nerscylla and Gore Magala also make their return.
One week after the game’s launch, players can expect new limited-time event quests featuring new special armor as rewards. Post-launch updates are also planned for Monster Hunter Wilds. Moreover, a Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark tool is now available on PC via Steam. The tool lets players test out their PC’s performance before the full game is available.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and Final Weapon previewed the game at Summer Game Fest 2024. Pre-ordering the game in the PlayStation Store nets an exclusive bonus: the Monster Hunter Wilds digital mini art book. Pre-orders include Hunter Layered Armor Set: Guild Knight and Talisman: Hope Charm.
