Bandai Namco and Byking revealed some of their plans for My Hero Ultra Rumble in 2025 with a letter from the producer. One of the most notable excerpts from this letter confirms that cross-play support will arrive in a future season.
Along with cross-play, Byking plans to introduce an appearance customization feature to My Hero Ultra Rumble, likely in 2025. For now, players can celebrate with a free item pack, which is awarded to those who login before January 6. My Hero Academia Final Season and the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime are also coming soon this year.

Thanks to the support of so many players, My Hero Ultra Rumble has celebrated its first anniversary since launch in 2024. Thank you very much!
As a token of our gratitude, we’re giving away an item pack, including Roll Tickets, to all users who log in during the campaign period (Jan. 1, 2025 12:00 AM to Jan. 6, 2025 2:59 PM (JST)! Be sure to log in, redeem it and enjoy the game.
In 2025, the operations team will continue working hard to make Ultra Rumble even more enjoyable. We kindly ask for your continued support! Today, in addition to New Year’s greetings, we would like to address some of the feedback we received from the players and answers in an FAQ format, together with a roadmap of future plans.
All the feedback we receive is reviewed by the team and used as reference for future development. We really appreciate your input, and we hope to keep improving

Q&A
Q1: Isn’t it unfair that teams of only friends and teams including solo players are matched in the same lobby just because they’re within the same rank range?
A1: We reckon that pre-formed teams of friends tend to have stronger coordination, leading to higher win rates even within the same rank range. In order to make win rates more balanced, we are considering revising the matchmaking system so that factors other than only rank are considered.
Q2: Is there any way we can choose our favorite outfits for battles, purely for their appearance?
A2: This feature is currently in development. To help players get accustomed to the T.U.N.I.N.G. System, the appearance customization feature will be implemented in stages. Please stay tuned, as we expect to release these features soon!
Q3: Are overly strong Tuning Skills/Special Tuning Skills going to be left unbalanced?
A3: If skills or combinations with characters are found to affect outcomes beyond expectations, we plan to adjust them as needed. Conversely, we also plan to strengthen less impactful skills.
Q4: Are there any plans to implement cross-platform play?
A4: We’ve received many requests for cross-platform play and are excited to share that we plan to implement the ability to play across platforms in a season coming soon! Initially, we will be testing this feature for a limited period within one season to ensure stable operations. Full implementation will take some time, but please look forward to it!
Lastly, we are also working on a new PUR outfit for Present Mic and revising license rewards to increase opportunities to obtain T.U.N.I.N.G. System-related items. We are targeting to release these as quickly as possible in an upcoming season, please look forward to them. In 2025, we will continue our efforts to deliver even better gameplay.
