SEGA has revealed new Shadow-themed updates for various Sonic mobile games to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s upcoming premiere. This includes titles such as Sonic Forces, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Dash+.
Firstly, Sonic Forces will receive an update on December 12 featuring Movie Sonic, Movie Shadow, and more in Sonic Movie Mobile events. Race through the Metro-city Zone with three new tracks to test your skills.
The Sonic Dash December 20 update adds your favorite stars from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic, and pick up daily collectibles to earn extra rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will also be receiving Shadow-themed updates in January 2025.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is releasing on December 20. Keanu Reeves will play the role of popular character, Shadow. Tickets for the film are now live. Certain theaters will also hold a fan event screening on December 19. Those who attend will receive a limited edition Shadow print. Check out whether your nearest theater will hold the event here.
Recently, director Jeff Fowler confirmed that the film will tease future characters for the series. According to the article the film will continue the “tradition set by the previous two films,” and will “set the stage for a potential fourth movie to introduce another video game character after Tails and now Shadow.” Only time will tell if Sonic the Hedgehog 3 teases the debut of future characters such as Amy, Rouge, Silver, Chaos, or Metal Sonic.
