    Marvel Rivals Reveals Launch Roadmap

    The game will launch with 33 characters.

    NetEase has revealed the launch roadmap for Marvel Rivals before it launches on December 6. The recent developer video confirms more details about the game’s monetization, season 0, and more. The creative director, Guangguang, states that one more hero will be revealed before launch. The hero will have a team-up attack with Hulk.

    Over the course of the game’s first month, eight maps, 33 heroes, and more will be available. Season 1 will start in early January 2025. New seasons will release every three months. Additionally, there will be no pay-to-win schemes, though there will be a battle pass that features costumes and other cosmetics. These costumes will include designs inspired by the MCU, the comics, and more. Check out the roadmap trailer for Marvel Rivals below:

    Marvel has had a massively successful lineup of video games over the past few years. From 2018’s Spider-Man to 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to 2021’s Guardians of the Galaxy to the recent release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.     In a recent trailer, NetEase confirmed that all heroes will be available for free without needing to unlock them. This will apply for all future heroes released. They also held a closed beta for Marvel Rivals. The game will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

    Marvel Rivals will be available for the PlayStation 5, PC, and the Xbox Series X|S on December 6.
