Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus Update Detailed, New Costumes and Features Revealed

Spider-Man 2 Fly and Fresh Costumes

In a new blog post released by Insomniac Games, the company elaborated on what fans can expect from Spider-Man 2‘s upcoming New Game Plus update. The update will include the aforementioned new game plus, replayable missions, the ability to change symbiote colors, new suit styles, Ultimate levels, golden gadget styles, new accessibility options, and more.

Of course, you can’t have a Spider-Man game without costumes, and the new update will include two new costumes at no additional cost. The costumes are adapted from the Hellfire Gala event from the comics, an event themed around the X-Men holding a Met Gala-esque event. Peter’s costume is designed by Russell Dauterman, while Bernard Chang designed Miles’ suit.

Further, Insomniac will release two new costumes as DLC alongside the update. The suits are designed in collaboration with Gameheads. They are a company focused on developing “diverse talent and bold new voices in gaming.” They also “serve low-income students, and underrepresented students (ages 15-25) in 15 different states with expansions to Honolulu and Atlanta.”

The costume pack will cost $4.99 and will include the Fly suit for Peter, the Fresh suit for Miles, 10 photo mode stickers, and 2 photo mode frames. Additionally, PlayStation will donate the earnings from each suit to Gameheads. Check out the trailer for the suits below:

Lastly, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available now on the PlayStation 5. The upcoming New Game Plus update will be available on March 7.
