During the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, Microsoft and Obsidian announced that Pentiment and Grounded will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Pentiment will release tomorrow while Grounded will release on April 16.
Obsidian initially released both Pentiment and Grounded in 2022. Pentiment is a “historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling.” Grounded, on the other hand, is a survival game where players must navigate what it’s like to be shrunken and forced to deal with giant ants, spiders, and more. Previously, the games were exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. They will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch.
UPDATE: Both games will also be available on the PlayStation 5.
Pentiment Releasing Tomorrow on the Nintendo Switch, Grounded Releasing in April
During the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, Xbox and Obsidian confirmde that Grounded and Pentiment will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The games will release as part of Microsoft’s initiative to bring four games on the Xbox to other consoles. It was previously reported that these games would be Pentiment, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves. With the recent announcement, the likelihood of Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves coming to other consoles is higher than ever.

Pentiment will release tomorrow on the Nintendo Switch. The Steam page describes the game as a “historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years.”
