DeNA has announced that a beta version of their VTuber live streaming app, IRIAM, is available now on iOS and Android. The full version will likely release soon.
According to Anime News Network, the app includes key features such as the ability for fans to reward streamers with “star” currency and virtual gifts, “almost zero-latency,” and special in-app events. The app is also optimized for streaming on mobile devices.
Google Play describes the game as follows:
Have you ever wished to have a casual conversation with VTubers more easily and interact more closely? Have you ever desired a place where you can engage in conversations about topics that you can’t find anyone to talk to around you, such as Japan-focused content like manga, anime, games, and more?
With IRIAM, an Interactive Live Streaming App born in Japan and downloaded by over 3 million users, that becomes possible.
IRIAM is an interactive VTuber platform. It’s designed exclusively for watching and interacting with VTubers’ live streams on mobile devices. IRIAM is a No.1 VTuber streaming app in Japan*, which has won Japan’s Best Virtual Live Streaming App Award at the “Sensor Tower APAC Awards 2022.” About 10,000 VTubers and streamers stream on IRIAM every day in Japan.
