M2 has announced Operation Night Strikers and Night Striker Gear. The former includes Operation Wolf and the original Night Striker. Night Striker Gear is described as a follow-up to the original Night Striker game. The announcement states the following:
“While keeping textures achieved via scaling effects in tact, we are creating a beautiful new world in pixel art. With the addition of the new ‘GEAR System,’ we’re delivering exhilarating gameplay with simple controls. Please look forward to further information, which will be announced by M2 at a later date.”
The Steam page for Operation Night Strikers, which will release in 2025, describes the game as follows:
