Netmarble and developer Netmarble Monster released the first two trailers for MONGIL: STAR DIVE, the new action RPG serving as a sequel to the beloved Monster Taming mobile game from 2013. The first trailer, titled “Ready, Set, ACTION!,” gives a sneak peek into what’s in store for players.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, MONGIL: STAR DIVE will carry over Monster Taming’s unique character roster and universe, along with core gameplay elements in an action RPG designed for multiple platforms. So far, the game is confirmed for consoles, Android, iOS, and PC. In addition, the title is planned for a global release in the latter half of 2025.
The story of MONGIL: STAR DIVE centers around protagonists Verna and Cloud. Their companion, Yaongi, has abilities that will help you catch and train monsters, build teams of three characters, and optimize the party’s strategy in tag-based action.
Those attending G-Star 2024 in Busan, South Korea, from November 14 to 17 have the opportunity to try out a new story demo. The demo is located at the Netmarble booth in the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center. Attendees who play the demo may also win prizes.
