Metaphor: ReFantazio director Katsura Hashino confirmed that he’s begun work on his next new game at ATLUS, according to a recent interview at Famitsu. Hashino noted that Studio Zero will not disband, as they are committed to taking on new challenges as a team.

Famitsu: Not as ATLUS, but for yourself, are you thinking about what to make next after Metaphor?
Hashino: Oh, I have already started.
Famitsu: You are preparing the next one?
Hashino: I don’t really think about what to do as an individual. I look at ATLUS as a whole and think about what is best for our team to create right now. Firstly I want the users to be happy, and as a result I hope the company will be happy as well. That is how I always work.
In other related news, Metaphor: ReFantazio update 1.04 is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, along with update 1.03 for the PC (Steam) version. The update applies major fixes to New Game+ save data on consoles and adds anti-aliasing and a camera shake off feature to the PC version.
The full official soundtrack of Metaphor: ReFantazio will release on January 15, 2025 for 5,500 yen. It will be feature 5 CD with 131 tracks, along with a travel map poster and bookmark set. A partial 61-track Metaphor: ReFantazio official soundtrack is now streaming on Spotify, YouTube Music, and other services.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows (Microsoft Store). Final Weapon had the opportunity to play and preview Metaphor: ReFantazio at Summer Game Fest 2024.
