During a recent event, the staff behind the Gushing Over Magical Girls anime confirmed that season 2 is in development. The premiere date for the second season is currently unknown. The Gushing Over Magical Girls manga by Ononaka entered serialization in 2019. Nearly five years after the manga began, Asahi Production released a new anime adaptation with three versions: TV, Gushing, and Ultra-Gushing modes. The cast is as follows:
