SEGA and ATLUS released a new update for the Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue demo to improve performance for the PC (Steam) version. This update optimizes the demo and reduces stress on the GPU.
According to the patch notes for the version 1.02 update, the Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue demo will now select the highest spec dedicated GPU in the user’s configuration. Previously, players with gaming laptops may have noticed the demo selecting integrated graphics on the CPU instead of the dedicated GPU. Moreover, minor fixes were applies.

- Performance fixes: Adjustments have been made to reduce stress on the GPU.
- GPU: The game now selects the highest spec (dedicated) GPU.
- Other minor fixes
The demo contains the beginning of the journey, the first four dungeons, seven of the 40+ Archetypes, and six followers. Players may transfer their save data to the full game after completing the demo.
Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch on October 11 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows (Microsoft Store).
