Digital Extremes announced the Warframe: 1999 Teaser demo will launch on October 16 on all platforms, giving players a sneak peek of what’s to come in the major update. Before then, the Koumei & the Five Fates update will launch on October 2.
The Warframe: 1999 teaser demo will let players explore explore the Höllvanian city on Arthur’s Atomicyle and complete an Exterminate mission against the Scaldra to earn a Protokol Longsword Skin. A release date for the full update was not announced, but it will launch in winter 2024.
On October 2, the Koumei & the Five Fates update will introduce Koumei and her RNG-inspired ability kit, developed in partnership with Sumo Digital. The update also includes a new Shrine Defense mission, new quality-of-life improvements, deluxe cosmetics, a Caliban rework, and much more. Players who login between October 2 and October 16 will receive Caliban for free.

Moreover, Digital Extremes announced Warframe will receive an enhanced graphics update with the launch of the PlayStation 5 Pro on November 7. More details about this update will be revealed at a later date.
Warframe: 1999 sends players travel back to the 20th century to discover a grungy world filled with secrets. A cast of six different Protoframes head to this era to track down Dr. Entrati before 2000 hits on New Year’s Eve. These Protoframes are voiced by Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3), Kevin Afghani (Super Mario Bros. Wonder), Melissa Medina (Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail), Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge (Forza Horizon 5), Alpha Takahashi (Cyberpunk 2077), and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI).
Lastly, Warframe is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
