Following the resignation of its staff, Annapurna Interactive confirmed on Twitter that Silent Hill Townfall is still in development. The game is being co-developed by Annapurna Interactive, Konami, and No Code.
Little is known about Silent Hill Townfall, due to a lack of updates following the game’s reveal at Silent Hill Transmission on October 19, 2022. Platforms, gameplay mechanics, and a release date were not revealed. The game was first announced alongside Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill Ascension, and Silent Hill f.
Silent Hill 2 initially released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. Earlier this year, Konami and Bloober Team revealed a Silent Hill 2 gameplay trailer that highlights gameplay that fans can expect from the remake. It features third-person action similar to the likes of the recent Resident Evil games. Silent Hill 2 remake will launch on October 8 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
Konami and Genvid Entertainment launched Silent Hill Ascension on mobile devices and PC on October 31, 2023. Weekly packaged episodes are available on Sony Pictures Core for PS4 and PS5 and Bravia Core apps across Xperia devices as well. PlayStation Plus Premium members may also gain additional Sony Pictures Core benefits, giving them more content alongside Silent Hill Ascension.
Silent Hill f is a brand-new game developed by Neobards Entertainment (Resident Evil Re:Verse) and written by Ryukishi07 (When They Cry series). The game features a completely new story set in 1960’s Japan. A release date and platforms for Silent Hill f were not announced, however.
