SEGA and Like a Dragon developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, a new Like a Dragon: Gaiden-style spin-off starring Goro Majima. The game ($59.99) will launch on February 28, 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
In this new title, Majima will have two fighting styles: Mad Dog and Sea Dog. You can jump in combat for the first time, so you will be able to use air combos with these styles. The Dragon Kart and Crazy Delivery mini-games will make their return from past installments. Further, fans may also customize Majima’s outfit just like Kazuma Kiryu’s in Gaiden.
In addition, the voice cast of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii includes:

- First Summer Uika as Noah Rich
- Munetaka Aoki as Teruhiko Shigaki
- Ryuji Akiyama as Masaru Fujita
- Ayumi Tanida as Rodriguez

AEW wrestler Samoa Joe will also appear in the story.
Moreover, pre-orders will include the Ichiban Kasuga Pirate Crew & Special Outfit. A Digital Deluxe Edition will be sold for $74.99 featuring the Legendary Pirate Crew Pack, Legendary Outfit Pack, Ship Special Customization Pack, Extra Karaoke & CD Pack, and pre-order bonus. Digital pre-orders are live in the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam.
Physical copies will be available to pre-order soon, and a Collector’s Edition was unveiled. The Collector’s Edition includes an acrylic stand, pirate flag, treasure coin pin, eye patch, and Deluxe Edition DLC voucher.

In other news, a new Like a Dragon “Bakamitai” vinyl record will be sold on November 3 in Japan with six renditions of the iconic karaoke song. Players may also hear the song in the new Switch version of Yakuza Kiwami, launching October 24.
As discussed in Final Weapon’s review of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the latest Like a Dragon entry is well worth the hype as one of 2024’s best games. Many fans showed up for the launch, helping Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth become the fastest selling game in the franchise.
