Before launch, Square Enix made various improvements to the game’s DLSS, FSR, and XeSS quality in an update to the Final Fantasy XVI demo on PC. The update alleviates blurring and pixelation issues and enhances the overall performance.
The demo includes the opening prologue of the game, with save data carrying over to the full game. With over two hours of content, the demo also includes a special “Eikonic Challenge” Mode.
Previously, Final Fantasy XVI director Hiroshi Takai said future Final Fantasy games are “possible, probably even likely” to arrive on multiple platforms on day one. Square Enix’s new multiplatform strategy suggests day one launches on PC will be common.
