Electronic Arts announced that skate. will launch in 2025 in early access, with platforms to be determined. According to the game’s official Twitter account, more details about the skate. early access launch will be revealed in the coming months.

Previously, EA released the “An Update from M-Corp” trailer for skate., revealing more footage and confirming that console playtesting would begin in fall 2024. The playtest will give skate. Insiders the “opportunity to playtest early versions of the game and provide feedback throughout development.” Over time, more and more players may be able to join the playtest.

Skate initially began in 2007. The game’s sequel, Skate 2, would release in 2009. Skate 3 released in 2010. Playtesting began in 2022 for skate., alongside the announcement that the game would be free-to-play. Playtesting will soon be available on consoles this fall.
