Nintendo announced that two new Nintendo Switch bundles will be sold early this fall, ahead of the holiday season. Both of these holiday bundles include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, one of the most successful Nintendo Switch games of all time.
Firstly, the Nintendo Switch OLED Model: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle will be available featuring the game and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online individual membership, according to Nintendo of America’s tweet. The OLED model included in this bundle is the white version.
A Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle will also be available this fall, featuring a standard Switch model with Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Cons. It will include the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online individual membership as well. Pricing for each bundle has not been announced yet.
Holiday 2024 will likely be one of the final seasons with Nintendo Switch being Nintendo’s main hardware on the market. A Nintendo Switch successor will be revealed within the fiscal year, according to Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa. Reports suggest the next-generation console will launch after March 2025 as the Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo’s recent earnings release for the quarter ending on June 30, 2024, revealed that the Nintendo Switch sales reached 143.22 million worldwide. 2.1 million Nintendo Switch hardware units were moved in the first quarter of FY 3/2025. Additionally, 30.64 million software units were sold on Nintendo Switch in the same quarter. This brings the grand total of Nintendo Switch software units sold to 1.266 billion.
