Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda announced the digital release date for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP has been moved up to September 12 in North America, Central and South America, and Europe. The original September 26 release date remains the same for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP in Japan and Asia.
Moreover, Yasuda on Twitter confirms that the digital version will be sold for $44.99. Digital pre-orders will open on August 8 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, while pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version open on August 9. A 10% pre-order discount will be active for all versions, with the PlayStation 5 version’s discount requiring PS Plus.
A Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP physical edition will be sold for $49.99 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in the Limited Run Games Store. Pre-orders will close on August 25 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. The estimated shipping date for the physical edition is set between December 1 and December 31 this year.
The upcoming title will feature a “RePOP” mode with a distinct and colorful pop art style for damage effects. Players may also choose to keep the game in Original Mode with its normal damage effects. The remaster also has shorter load times, auto-QTE options, various gameplay improvements, and a new streamer mode.
Players may choose between the original English voices or Japanese voices in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. In addition, there will be a new Japanese voice actress for Juliet. The in-game model for Juliet has not changed in the remaster.
Lastly, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP launches on September 25 for $49.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in Japan and Asia.
