Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Features New Japanese VA for Juliet

The remaster will maintain the original voices as well.

Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda confirms that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will feature a new Japanese voice actress for Juliet. Players may also choose between the Yoko Hikasa and Eri Kitamura, the voice actresses for Juliet in the original PS3 and Xbox 360 releases in Japan.

Recently, Yasuda confirmed that players may choose between the original English voices or Japanese voices in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Alongside other quality-of-life tweaks and features, these voice-over options will likely be available in all regions that the game is sold in.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Features a New Japanese Voice Actress

According to Yasuda, a new voice actress that “we all know and love” will play the role of Juliet in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. A reveal is likely imminent, since Yasuda regularly shares news about the game each week.

“In RePOP, players can choose either Yoko Hikasa san or Eri Kitamura san when selecting the Japanese language,” Yasuda said on Twitter. “New information is that RePOP will have a new Japanese voice actress playing the role of Juliet. She is also someone we all know and love.”

Previously, Yasuda confirmed that the model for Juliet has not changed in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Instead, the model itself has been retextured, and the remasters uses current CG technology, allowing the developers at Dragami Games to emphasize Juliet’s natural beauty.

Yasuda mentioned in a December 2023 interview that the developers will “walk the righteous path” by carrying over the well-received elements of the original Lollipop Chainsaw game. The developer re-confirms that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be released on modern platforms in summer 2024.

Additionally, Dragami Games is developing a new game alongside Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. This new game will likely be announced in 2025, so it’s still in an early stage of development.

Lastly, the character designs for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will continue to be drawn and completed by illustrator Nekoshowgun. She also designed Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP’s new loading screen visuals.
