    Compile Heart Delays Two Upcoming Games in Japan

    Compile Heart's upcoming lineup shifts.

    The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089) confirms that Compile Heart‘s new RPG Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels and upcoming M2-developed shoot ’em up have been delayed to summer 2025 in Japan. These new Compile Heart games were originally planned to release sometime in summer 2024. 

    Currently, Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels is planned to release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The new shoot ’em up is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. More details about these new Compile Heart games will be revealed at a later date. 

    Moreover, Famitsu confirmed that that Madou Monogatari 4 will release as Madou Monogatari: Fia and the Mysterious School on November 28 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan. This new title is published by Compile Heart and developed by Sting, D4 Enterprise, and former Compile Heart staff.

    Madou Monogatari: Fia and the Mysterious School is a collaborative RPG featuring a “game cycle of life” in a sorcery school and command-based battles in automatically generated 3D dungeons. Players may improve their characters through a grimoire skill tree. Fans can expect more details to be revealed before the game’s release.

    Compile Heart’s new roguelike RPG Death end re;Quest Code Z is coming to the west in 2025. The game will launch first in Japan on September 19 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5. Idea Factory International will sell the game physically and digitally with support for English and Japanese voice overs. Physical standard and limited editions will be available in the IFI Online Store, and purchases will include an exclusive trading card.
