Compile Heart announced that seven new games are currently in development, including the next numbered Hyperdimension Neptunia title and a new Death end re;Quest spin-off game. The studio appears to be incredibly busy as it prepares some of its biggest games yet, and a new management structure has been implemented.
Compile Heart’s latest releases include Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution, which are spin-offs of the main Hyperdimension Neptunia series. Both of these Neptunia games are coming to the west for additional platforms in 2024, and fans may also look forward to the next mainline entry in the series.
Compile Heart New Games: Neptunia, Death end re;Quest and More
Former Capcom and EA developer Naoto Tominaga stepped up as Compile Heart president alongside new company director and former Sting producer Hikaru Yasui. According to Famitsu, these two will be leading the company as it develops the next next numbered Hyperdimension Neptunia title, which Yasui states the company is taking its time to develop carefully. The next new title is Death end re;Quest Code:Zion (tentative title), a new spin-off game in the series. Releasing in summer 2024, the new spin-off will focus on a story told between the first and second games. Compile Heart also confirms that Death end re;Quest 3 is in development.
Mary Skelter and Mugen Souls character designer Kei Nanameda is working on Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels (tentative title), a brand-new RPG themed around delivery services. This new game was developed while having interviews with Japan Post. Fans can expect Todokero! Tatakae! Calamity Angels to release in summer 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A PC (Steam) version is also planned.
Moreover, Compile Heart and Sting are also co-developing Touhou Spell Carnival, a new Touhou Project tactics RPG. The game will release across multiple platforms in spring 2024, and a new shooting game is being developed by M2 for release in late 2024.
Lastly, Madō Monogatari 4 is another tentative title that Compile Heart and Sting are developing together. This is a new dungeon crawling RPG slated to release in summer 2024. The companies are cooperating with rights holder D4 Enterprise, and the game will collaborate with SEGA and Puyo Puyo characters.
