Melty Blood: Type Lumina has officially surpassed 500,000 copies sold worldwide. To celebrate, the official Melty Blood Twitter page released a commemorative message from both Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi. The previous sales update of 400,000 copies sold occurred in late March 2023.
Melty Blood is a spinoff series of Tsukihime, one of the most beloved visual novels by Type-Moon. Developed by French-Bread, this title utilizes pixel graphics in a similar way to the Under Night In-Birth series. This particular release, Type Lumina, takes place 10 days prior to 2021’s Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-. A total of 22 characters are available to choose from, with four coming from Type-Moon’s Fate franchise.
Speaking of Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, the game has officially launched in English today for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch! We had a chance to review the game and gave it a 4.5/5, stating, “Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- is a beautiful and surreal experience with gorgeous illustrations, an incredible narrative, and presentation that sits atop the visual novel market.”
