The latest issue of Shonen Sunday confirms that Konami’s console game adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s Edens Zero anime and manga is still in development. This title was originally announced at Tokyo Game Show 2020, but more news seems to be coming soon.
The Shonen Sunday issue shows that players can relive the story of Edens Zero in the new console game and fight in immersive battles. Once more, the game is a 3D action RPG that sees the Edens Zero crew explore various planets. Players can explore an open-world Blue Garden as well.
Platforms and a release date for the new game have not been announced yet. However, the Shonen Sunday issue shows screenshots with X, Y, RT, and RB buttons, implying that Xbox and PC versions will be available. Konami plans to reveal new information about the game soon, according to Ryokutya2089.
Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga series will return with a new one-shot chapter on July 3. The chapter will release almost exactly one month after Mashima’s Edens Zero manga concludes in Weekly Shonen Magazine. New advertisements are now on display at Gokukuji Station in Tokyo, promoting the new one-shot, the final chapter of Edens Zero releasing on June 26, and the new Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime.
Fans of Mashima’s work may also look forward to Farmagia, a new monster-raising and life-sim RPG, and Fairy Tail 2, the sequel to 2020 Fairy Tail RPG. Both of these titles are coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Farmagia will also receive an anime adaptation.
