Bandai Namco’s Emotion Label announced SHY Season 2 will premiere on July 1 on TV Tokyo and other Japanese networks. The second season is also expected to air on Crunchyroll.
A new key visual for SHY Season 2 was revealed alongside a trailer. The new trailer also reveals the opening theme song “WILLSHINE” by PassCode. Check out the key visual and trailer below:
The season’s newest characters include Ai Tennoji and Utsuro. Kotori Koiwai will play Tennoji, while Hitomi Ueda will play Utsuro. Koiwai and Ueda are joined by
- Wataru Hatano as Century
- Hiro Shimono as Tokimaru
- Izumi Kitta as Kwabara
SHY is a story about the titular character being the superhero representative for Japan. The timid young girl is a beacon of peace with a heart of gold, capable of bringing worldwide peace to all. Fans enjoyed the first season of the SHY anime series with English dubs and subs in 2023.
Akita Shoten publishes the original SHY manga by Bukimi Miki in its Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, and an English language version is also available from Yen Press. Masaomi Ando is directing the SHY TV anime at the animation studio Eight Bit.
