Kingdom Hearts IV is reportedly planned to release in 2026, according to reputable insider Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5). Like previous rumors and speculation suggested, the game reportedly looks different now than it did in the initial reveal from April 2022.
According to Midori, 2026 is Square Enix’s current planned release window for Kingdom Hearts IV, which has the codename “Quattro.” More details about the future of the Kingdom Hearts series will be revealed at a later date, but it’s unclear if that information will come this year. Midori also clarifies that the information about the game’s release window was discussed with inside sources over “a period of months.”
Previously, Midori suggested that Kingdom Hearts series will come to Nintendo Switch 2, including Kingdom Hearts IV. In addition, she claimed that Kingdom Hearts IV will have online features, and Square Enix is reportedly planning collaborations between Kingdom Hearts and other IPs like Fortnite.
The Kingdom Hearts series is finally coming to Steam on June 13, bringing the mainline series to the platform for the first time. These releases include Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + ReMind, with the sole exception being Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. At IGN Live, Final Weapon had the opportunity to try out Kingdom Hearts III on Steam Deck:
