Multiple Announcements Teased by Capcom for Summer Game Fest 2024

    Surprises in store.

Capcom has teased multiple announcements in a new press item sent to Kit & Krysta. While the company has a confirmed presence at Summer Game Fest, this is the first time we’ve seen confirmation that Capcom will have multiple announcements. The message says the following:

“Get ready for the ultimate showtime!

Join us for the digital premiere of special Capcom announcements during the Summer Game Fest 2024 digital event on June 7th!

Grab your snacks for the show!”

As of now, we already know that Monster Hunter Wilds will be making an appearance at the show. Ryozo Tsujimoto, the Monster Hunter series Producer, will be attending the event and presenting on stage. Besides this title, Capcom has numerous different things it could opt to showcase.

For one, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is set to release in 2024 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Initially announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2023, we’ve seen nothing for this title outside of a gameplay trailer in March. Summer Game Fest seems like a great time to reveal a release date.

Additionally, Year 1 of Street Fighter 6 just recently wrapped up a few weeks ago with the release of Akuma. It’s possible Capcom might aim to reveal Year 2 at Summer Game Fest, though the company could wait for EVO to do so.

Finally, titles like Pragmata or Dragon’s Dogma 2 could even show up in some form, with a new trailer for the former and a DLC announcement for the latter. It’s anyone’s guess, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the event airs live this Friday!
