Capcom announced that they will be celebrating the one-year anniversary of Street Fighter 6 this month with a series of events. At the moment, there is no information as to whether these events will be in-game, at offline events, or both. Street Fighter 6 surpassed 3 million copies at the start of this year, showcasing the massive growth of the game so far. Additionally, the game recently received an enormous patch that showed many changes for all characters and system mechanics. One of the patch’s brand new changes is that all characters can now use drive reversal on wakeup. This adds another defensive layer for players to learn how to play against. Both this patch and Akuma are now playable. Moreover, each of the Year 1 DLC characters got their Outfit 3 costumes. There are also new challenger screen customizations that players can select from and a jukebox.

Street Fighter 6, launched globally on June 2, 2023, evolves the franchise with its proprietary RE ENGINE. The game offers three main modes: World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub. World Tour mode allows for a single-player adventure in Metro City, while the Battle Hub offers a social space for player interaction and competition. Fighting Ground is where players can experience arcade mode, training mode, ranked matches, and more.
