Arkane Austin has released the final update for Redfall. The update includes the new community standing feature, the Elder Nests, and several other quality of life features.
Over the last few months, several major companies have laid off numerous workers from across their entire gaming divisions. Examples include Microsoft, Bungie, Embracer Group, Behaviour Interactive, Riot Games, Sega, Sony, EA, Take-Two, and more. The recent shut down of both Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, among others, was an especially devastating loss in the industry. Unfortunately, the amount of layoffs across the industry will likely increase as the year continues.
Arkane Austin Releases Final Update for Redfall
Arkane Austin has finally released game update 4 for Redfall. The update includes community standing, a new ranking system that gives players new rewards based on the increase in rank. It also features Elder Nests, new boss-focused nests that serve as major challenges for experienced Redfall players. Finally, it adds an offline mode and single-player pausing.
According to Arkane Austin, “This article only covers the largest additions coming to Redfall, but that is not all. New enemy encounters in Redfall Commons, continued AI improvements, Story Mode difficulty, and a new Unrivaled Weapon have also been added with this update.” With this, the company’s work on Redfall has come to an end. In a final note from Arkane, they state that “We’re thankful for the millions of players who have joined us. From everyone at Arkane Austin, thank you for playing our games and loving our worlds, it’s been an honor to deliver these experiences to you.”
Redfall is available now on the Xbox Series X|S and PC.
