SEGA and ATLUS have released a new “Daily Demon” video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, introducing the demon Nezha Taizi. This demon was previously featured in Soul Hackers 2.
The May 26 Daily Demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance introduced Yoshitsune, a famous warlord and hero of the Genpei war. Known as Ushiwakamaru in his youth, he was taught martial arts from the Tengu of Mount Kurama. He’s widely known for his battle against Musashibo Benkei on the Gojo Bridge.

Returning in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Nezha Taizi is a protection deity of Chinese mythology. It’s believed that he takes the form of an ageless young man, and he was granted the trusty weapon Qiankun Quan (Universe Ring) and his trademark Hun Tian Ling (Red Armillary Sash) upon birth.
To atone for killing the Dragon King, he committed suicide as atonement. However, he was brought back to life with lotus roots. In “Journey to the West,” he fought an intense battle with Sun Wukong.
