    Stellar Blade PC Version, DLC, and Sequel Being Considered

    Stellar Blade could become a franchise going forward.

    SHIFT UP is considering new DLC and a PC version of Stellar Blade alongside a new sequel, according to the studio’s initial public offering filing on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index. New details for the studio’s “next-gen AAA urban science-fiction action RPG” were revealed as well. 

    The developers at SHIFT UP recently confirmed Stellar Blade is uncensored in all countries, including Japan. SHIFT UP also confirmed that a reversible cover is available with all Stellar Blade copies, regardless of region. Shortly after launch, Moreover, SHIFT UP began hiring staff for the aforementioned action RPG, which is coming to consoles, PC, and mobile platforms.

    Stellar Blade PC Version and Sequel

    According to the new filing, plans for a Stellar Blade sequel and PC version are currently in consideration. A release date for the PC version has not been determined, however. Collaborations, DLC releases, and new gameplay elements for Stellar Blade are also being considered. The filing also notes that Stellar Blade sales exceeded Sony’s initial expectations.

    The new action RPG is in early stages of development as Project Witches, which is scheduled to release in 2027 or later. The game is described as a “next-generation mega subculture that will surpass Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.” The game aims to compete with the likes of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Fate/Grand Order (Thanks, Gematsu). 

    At launch, Stellar Blade received a New Game Plus update with tons of new content. In New Game Plus, Stellar Blade players may acquire 34 new outfits, multiple new accessories, new upgrades and enhancements, and so much more. In addition, enemies are more difficult and have been repositions in New Game Plus for added challenge. 

    Stellar Blade is developed by SHIFT UP and directed by CEO Kim Hyung Tae. The new action game was inspired by NieR: Automata and Bayonetta, with a strong emphasis on a single-player story and intricate combo system.

    Lastly, Stellar Blade launched on April 26, 2023 worldwide, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
