Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10 Review – The More You Mess Around, The More You’re Gonna Find Out

    Big moment for Himawari here!

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 10 is yet another hype train of a chapter that keeps getting better. Not only do we see Kawaki make a snark remark toward Shikamaru, but we also get to see Sarada and Sasuke’s Shinju Clone interact. Additionally, Himawari and Kurama continue their conversation, and it builds up to a pivotal moment in her character development. There’s no doubt about it that we are entering into some chaotic territory for this new Boruto arc. Without further ado, let’s review the pivotal events of chapter 10 and see where Boruto Two Blue Vortex is heading.

What Happened in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10?

So, in the previous chapter 9 review, I talked about how Kawaki seems to have suspicions about Shikamaru. I think he might have premonitions that Shikamaru is working with Boruto, and a particular event that happened in this chapter supported my theory. When Shikamaru explains the plan to the rest of the shinobi about protecting Himawari, Kawaki gets angry. He feels that Shikamaru should have just led by saying that Himawari is in danger instead of explaining everything else. I think Kawaki recognizes that Shikamaru knows the truth about Boruto and is probably giving Boruto more intel than him. This small but significant story beat could potentially pose a threat to Shikamaru and Kawaki’s relationship.

Furthermore, we finally get to see Sarada and Sasuke’s Shinju Clone fight against each other briefly. The Shinju Clone recognizes Sarada and goes for a Chidori. Sarada completely dodges the attack in time, thanks to her Sharingan activation, and strikes a Chidori to the clone’s side. This does great damage to the clone, but Sarada understandably feels shaken by the fact that the Shinju clone performed a jutsu that only she and her father know. I’m not sure how their interaction is going to play out in the next chapter, but I’m interested. Konohamaru and Sumire are also with her, so seeing their reaction to all of this will be a treat.

Himawari and Kurama continue their conversation in Himawari’s visible consciousness. Kurama explains that he reincarnated within Himawari, but the reasoning is unclear as to why it was precisely her. Himawari is Naruto’s daughter, so it seems like such a coincidence. Maybe she was born with some Nine-Tails chakra? Or maybe her being Uzumaki and Hyuga blood allowed this to happen? Either way, she’s the new big Jinchūriki now, and I don’t think anyone saw this coming.

    Anime Protagonist Power-Up Time

Team Ten is still flying around with Himawari to keep her safe, but the main Shinju ends up catching up with them and sends them crashing down. Himawari begs for Kurama’s help, but he mentions that only she can help her friends. Himawari bravely tries to attack the main Shinju, but the Shinju ends up counterattacking her. Right before she is about to be devoured, Inojin tries to save her, but the main Shinju sends a ground spike straight through his chest. Of course, this allows Himawari to tap into Nine-Tails mode and concludes the chapter from there. It is important to mention that Kurama told Himawari that her chakra has a higher affinity to his than any other Nine-Tails predecessor. Having said that, it will be interesting to see Himawari’s strength in action with Kurama. When Naruto first tapped into Nine-Tails, he was dealing with Haku, but this is a vastly different kind of enemy the kids are dealing with here in terms of strength. Lastly, whether Inojin is alive or dead remains a mystery. Here’s to the next Boruto chapter and the hype it carries!
