Nintendo of America has announced that the next Maximus Cup for Tetris 99 will feature a collaboration with Endless Ocean Luminous. The event will begin on May 10 and will last until May 13.
Nintendo released Tetris 99 in 2019 as a complementary title with Nintendo Switch Online memberships. As the name suggests, the game is a 99-player battle royale with the gameplay of Tetris. Past Maximus Cups have featured art and music from Pikmin 4, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, WarioWare: Move It, Super Mario Bros Wonder and more. The next theme will be based on Endless Ocean Luminous.
Tetris 99 Announces Endless Ocean Luminous Maximus Cup
The 40th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99 will be themed around Endless Ocean Luminous. The event will begin on May 10 at 12:00 AM PDT/3 AM EDT, and will end on May 13 at 11:59 PM PDT/2:59 AM EDT. After accumulating 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by Endless Ocean Luminous. Check out the official announcement post below:
