    Published:

Sony Interactive Entertainment and SHIFT UP confirm physical copies of Stellar Blade for PlayStation 5 will feature a reversible cover. This is the case for any copy of the game, regardless of the region.

Recently, the developers at SHIFT UP confirmed that Stellar Blade is uncensored in all countries, including Japan. Fans will not have to worry about the game’s content being different or altered. Moreover, several tidbits about the game were being revealed ahead of the April 26 launch, including the status of physical copies at retail.

Stellar Blade Reversible Cover Revealed in New Twitter Video

The official Stellar Blade Twitter account revealed that all physical copies will feature the same reversible cover in all regions. A member of the development team revealed the reversible cover art in a new video:

Stellar Blade recently went gold, meaning that development for the new game is complete at studio SHIFT UP. Before launch, fans can play the new Stellar Blade demo, which includes content up to the game’s first boss in the first section. To celebrate the upcoming release, PlayStation released a new “Eve” music video by Korean artist BIBI.

Stellar Blade is developed by SHIFT UP and directed by CEO Kim Hyung Tae. The new action game was inspired by NieR: Automata and Bayonetta, with a strong emphasis on a single-player story and intricate combo system. Pre-orders for Stellar Blade went live on February 7, just one week after January 31 State of Play.

Moreover, SHIFT UP is hiring for a new project coming to consoles, PC, and mobile platforms. The new project will be a “next-gen AAA urban science-fiction action RPG” developed in Unreal Engine 5.

Lastly, Stellar Blade launches on April 26, exclusively for PlayStation 5. A PC version was not announced. Stellar Blade will be sold physically and digitally worldwide, thanks to PlayStation’s second-party agreement as publisher of the new action game.
