SEGA have launched an all-new campaign titled Fearless: Year of Shadow, which promotes various Sonic the Hedgehog-themed goods and the release of Sonic x Shadow: Generations. Various limited-time events will be held as well, including the collaboration between Sonic the Hedgehog and IHOP.
Sonic x Shadow: Generations was first announced at the January 31 State of Play. The upcoming re-release features an all-new scenario starring Shadow the Hedgehog. Before the game’s release this fall, SEGA will host its Fearless: Year of Shadow campaign to celebrate the iconic anti-hero.
SEGA Fearless: Year of Shadow Campaign
The Fearless: Year of Shadow will be held throughout the year as the release of Sonic x Shadow: Generations approaches. Here’s what to expect from the campaign:
- Motorcycle Tour – A custom-built Shadow-inspired motorcycle will appear at MotoGP and more, including MotoGP Fan Zone at Austin, TX and the UK. Tickets are now available.
- Sonic x Shadow: Generations – Play as Shadow the Hedgehog in a brand-new story campaign, alongside 2D and 3D stages as Classic and Modern Sonic in this Sonic Generations remaster.
- Mobile Game Events – New Fearless events are live in Sonic Forces and Sonic Dash, featuring unlocks for powerful Shadow variants like Super Shadow, Vampire Shadow, Sir Lancelot, and Dragon Hunter Lancelot.
- LEGO – Fans can create an escape plan for Shadow with the new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog toy set.
- Sonic Speed Café – The Sonic the Hedgehog themed restaurant will feature new menu items, merch and more Shadow-themed products.
- IHOP – The Sonic the Hedgehog menu features Shadow’s Chaos Chocolate Pancakes until May 5.
- Sonic Symphony World Tour – A rock band and live symphony orchestra will perform original Shadow scores alongside his iconic moments on screen.

Lastly, Sonic x Shadow Generations will launch in fall 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
