    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Coming to US & Canada in May

    Premiering first in Los Angeles and New York.

    Bandai Namco Filmworks have announced that the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film will come to the hundreds of theaters across the US and Canada in May. The film will soon make its western debut in both New York and Los Angeles on March 31 with the subbed version, while the dubbed version will premiere in both cities on April 1.

    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom is the long-awaited sequel to the SEED Destiny anime series. The original series ran from 2004-2005. The new movie will pick up right from where SEED Destiny left off with Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne serving as the two main characters once more. A few weeks after the film’s release in Japan, the film had already passed 3.1 billion yen

    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Comes to 800 US and Canada Theater Screens

    Fathom Events will distribute the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film in theaters in the US and Canada on May 7 and 8. It will screen in Japanese with English subtitles on May 7 in both countries. The English dub will screen on May 8 in the US only, and tickets go on sale on April 5.

     

    As previously announced, the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film will be screened in Los Angeles at the Regal LA Live Theater and in New York at the Japan Society. The subbed version will premiere on March 31 and the dubbed release will be available on April 1. A special talk show will be held at LA with the original Japanese voice actors and the dubbed producers, Michael Sinterniklaas and Stephanie Sheh (the latter of which also voices Lacus Clyne in English).
