    New updates!

Autumn Games and Hidden Variable Games announced Skullgirls 2nd Encore DLC character Marie officially releases today. Moreover, there are new additional changes to the game alongside her release. This news comes from the Steam news hub for Skullgirls 2nd Encore.

The previous DLC character released for Skullgirls 2nd Encore was Black Dahlia last March. The developers have been hard on work on Marie ever since, releasing a Steam Early Access version of her in December. Here are the details surrounding Marie’s official release.

Marie Officially Arrives to Skullgirls 2nd Encore

Marie is the final character of the Skullgirls Season 1 Pass. Launching today across all platforms, Marie is accompanied by a plethora of new content and updates that were previously exclusive to beta versions on Steam.

Marie’s addition brings two unique stages, each with its own music track composted by Darren Malley. Furthermore, Marie’s debut includes a new storyline, exploring her journey after the Skull’s Heart destruction, and a vast selection of 29 color palettes for customization. Also, Season 1 Pass holders receive exclusive perks such as the Goth Marie voice pack and an additional bonus palette. The update also introduces new palettes from Skullgirls Mobile into 2nd Encore, alongside stage and combat updates.

As the Season 1 Pass wraps up, the developers have shared their plans to adjust their efforts before moving forward. This includes releasing additional voice content and making balance adjustments following Marie’s introduction.

Additionally, the Skullgirls Championship Series 2024 is in full swing, offering players a chance to compete in regional events for a spot in the Combo Breaker 2024 Grand Finals. For more information on the patch notes, click here.
