Inti Creates announced new card battle RPG Card-en-Ciel is now in development. The new title is coming soon to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will support up to two players in its various modes.
Card-en-Ciel is the latest project from Inti Creates, who are best known for their work on the Azure Striker Gunvolt series. The new title is featured at PAX East 2024 in Boston, Massachusetts from March 21 to 24 at the Inti Creates booth.
A Deckbuilding RPG Adventure Unfolds in Card-en-Ciel
In Card-en-Ciel, players control Neon, a gaming detective that collects cards and battles others. More than 10 unique dungeons are available with a diverse roster of character cards to earn and equip for roguelite card battles. Special “Muse Cards” can activate powerful abilities through songs, with 50 vocal tracks included in the game. Hidden card “glitches” may also be used to unleash powerful combos.
Inti Creates teases that characters from other game universes will show up in the upcoming game. As the protagonist, Neon will attempt to find the source of the crossovers in the main story. The exact game franchises that Inti Creates is teasing were not explicitly named, but it’s safe to assume it will be from other Inti Creates-developed games.
