    Street Fighter 6 DLC Character Akuma Arrives in Spring 2024

    Capcom revealed a teaser trailer for Akuma, who will come to Street Fighter 6 in spring 2024. This news comes from Day 2 of Capcom Highlights.

    Street Fighter 6 has released a few characters in its roster since last year. The Year 1 DLC characters were shown off earlier in Season 1, giving players a glimpse of what to expect. The lineup displayed Akuma, which excited many longtime Street Fighter fans. There has now been a new teaser trailer for Akuma, as well as extra details.

    Akuma Arrives to Street Fighter 6 in Spring 2024

    Akuma joins the Street Fighter 6 roster as the final character for Year 1 in spring 2024. Players can fight against Akuma in all three game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub. As your master in World Tour, Akuma will have his own area where you can traverse and experience combat. The developers promise to share more details about Akuma soon and to announce Year 2 content and Battle Hub events later this year.

    Additionally, extra information was revealed alongside the Akuma news. This month, the Battle Hub features a Mega Man-themed Fighting Pass. It offers lots of content and rewards centered on the famous robot, including a Street Voter event where players vote for their favorite Mega Man game.

    Capcom also announced that Capcom Cup XI will conclude this year’s Capcom Pro Tour season, awarding the Grand Finals winner a $1 million grand prize. Competitors from around the world are preparing for the CPT 2024 season. Additionally, the Street Fighter League (SFL): Pro-JP 2024 welcomes three new teams-Crazy Racoon, FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN, and Yogibo REJECT. With twelve teams competing, it’s the biggest season yet. The SFL JP 2024 season starts in July.

    Street Fighter 6 is available now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.
