Warner Bros. Games revealed that the release date of MultiVersus will be on May 28. To celebrate, the developers of MultiVersus, Player First Games, released a new trailer. This news comes from the game’s official YouTube channel.
MultiVersus had a long open beta test that lasted for almost a year. It gave the developers much information on what issues to fix in the game before release. The open beta eventually surpassed 20 million players worldwide, kicking off a huge milestone. After many months of development since the closing of the open beta, the release date has finally been revealed.
MultiVersus Release Date – May 28
MultiVersus will release on May 28 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. At launch, the game will support cross-play and cross-progression between different platforms. Additionally, MultiVersus will release with a new PVE mode, more characters, extra stages, improved visuals, and much more.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter featuring an all-star cast of iconic characters. It invites players into an expansive universe where iconic characters from different realms collide. In this free-to-play game, players can engage in intense 2v2 battles, choosing from many characters like Batman, Shaggy, Harley Quinn, and Rick and Morty.
Moreover, each character has unique abilities that dynamically complement one another. There are also maps for each character, such as Batman’s Batcave and the Treefort of Jake and Finn. Furthermore, MultiVersus offers a variety of play modes, including 1v1 duels and a 4-Player Free For All.
