Much news has been brewing about Killer Instinct lately, as the new edition was released last year. It’s been quite some time since the game received an update, so here is what’s new coming to the game.
Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition Patch Fixes Characters, Graphics, and More
Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition‘s patch 3.11.14 fixes balance, stability, and graphics issues. Additionally, there are new visual enhancements across all platforms. Iron Galaxy stated that their goal in doing this is to make Killer Instinct look attractive on your PC and Xbox.

There are quite a lot of changes, fixes, and additions from this patch, but the notable change is that there is now a ‘Particle Density’ option in the Display Options menu. This helps to reduce the number of particles so that you can clearly see and react to characters’ attacks. Iron Galaxy suggests using the medium or low options for tournament streams.
Moreover, players who use the Microsoft Store or Xbox App to play KI can now use any input device to play the game. There was an issue where the Mad Catz Killer Instinct Arcade FightStick TE 2 would not be recognized. This prompted the developers to look into making all devices compatible for the platform.
