Maximum Entertainment is developing an Avatar: The Last Airbender competitive multiplayer fighting game. The studio created a video that roadmaps their planned releases for this year.
Recently, Maximum Entertainment partnered with Paramount Consumer Products, which manages the licensing of Nickelodeon products. As a result, this opened the door for the studio to create an Avatar fighting game.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Fighting Game – What To Look Forward To
According to Maximum Entertainment, an Avatar: The Last Airbender competitive fighting game is in the works. While this game is set to release an Early Access version in 2025, more news will be revealed soon before its release.
There is no clarification as to who is developing the game, but Maximum Entertainment owns Mane6, the developers of Them’s Fightin’ Herds. People speculate if Mane6 will be developing the Avatar game, but many of the developers have been fired by Maximum Entertainment, according to a previous Mane6 developer. It is possible that a new developer will be chosen to helm the project.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. The story follows Aang, a young boy who is the latest incarnation of the Avatar—a singular individual capable of mastering all four elements of water, earth, fire, and air. The Avatar is tasked with maintaining balance in the world, so all of Aang’s friends join him on his journey to accomplish his goal. The story has rich world-building, complex characters, and powerful themes and messages. The show is also known for its animation and art style, which draws inspiration from Japanese anime.
