Silent Hill: The Short Message Available Now for PlayStation 5

An all-new Silent Hill experience available now.

During today’s State of Play, Konami revealed Silent Hill: The Short Message. This is an all-new Silent Hill experience available for free now on PS5, eerily similar to P.T. back on PS4.

This announcement was made as a part of the January 31 PlayStation State of Play. Already four months since the previous broadcast, Sony and its partners have plenty to reveal about the upcoming months.

Silent Hill: The Short Message Revealed for PS5; Available Now

“Following messages from her friend Maya, Anita finds herself at a crumbling apartment block, infamous for rumors of suicides. Drawn inside, Anita soon finds her sense of reality shattered as she encounters bizarre, otherworldly spaces, haunted by a twisted monster. Maya’s message was clear — “”can’t leave til you find it”” — but what is it that Anita is really looking for? An all-new, modern Silent Hill experience, powered by the latest in game technology, now available free to play exclusively on PlayStation® 5.”

PlayStation has its Q1 2024 slate set with massive releases in February and March. Next month, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5. Rebirth looks to take players out of Midgar for the very first time and into the open world of Gaia. Familiar faces like Cait Sith, Vincent Valentine, and Cid Highwind are all set to make an appearance, in addition to iconic locations like the Gold Saucer, Corel, and The Forgotten Capital.

March will bring Rise of the Ronin, an all-new action title from Team Ninja. Set in Japan in 1863, you travel as a Samurai to save Japan and control your own destiny. The setpieces and world look beautiful, with vibrant depictions of towns, landmarks, and forests. This open-world title features some impressive combat that we’re excited to try in March.
