Various characters from across the Trails series will appear in The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-, including members of Class VII and the Gralsritter. Due to the amount of characters that will be in Kai no Kiseki, Falcom developed a new “Character Chronicles” feature that will catch players up to speed on character backstories.

According to Kondo, The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- will make fans feel like the end of the series is coming. Players will understand the continent of Zemuria in the new game after many mysteries are finally solved. Since the Trails series has a large overarching story, Falcom decided to develop a new work that serves as an introduction to the series. Kondo did not elaborate further on what the exact nature of the title (i.e. remake), but he hopes fans look forward to a reveal.
